2nd Quarter Finish Along Hopefuls

It's time to make my list of hopeful finishes for the 2nd quarter of the Finish Along hosted by Katy at The Littlest Thistle.  I managed just one finish for the 1st quarter, so some of my unfinished items will have an encore performance this quarter.
#1

The Layer Cake Sampler Quilt Along.  These are blocks 9-14.  Six more to go.   I'm using a Ruby layer cake.

#2
HST baby quilt.
#3
Summersville quilt.  This has been hanging around for more than a year.  The top is finished.  I need to find something for the back.

#4
My Economy Block quilt.  This will be a stretch to finish. Since I enjoy making this block, it may not be an impossibility.
#5
 The Local quilt.  We'll see.
#6
Kaffe stripes. (This photo does not show the actual gorgeous colors.)  I started this at retreat last month.  This is a bit of a departure from my usual quilt projects.  There's no white fabric in it!

Lots to do.
Joyful stitching,

2014 Finish Along Q1

Q1 of the 2014 Finish Along hosted by The Littlest Thistle is over.
Just one finish out of a possible four.  My 1st quarter list is here
I enjoyed making this quilt. The Hexie Garden quilt (pattern by Atkinson Designs) took me a bit longer than I had planned.  Lots of little triangles and lots and lots of bias edges.  I used a fat quarter pack of Simply Color.  This quilt measures approx. 58" x 68".  Nice lap size.
I opted to do straight line quilting on this one.
I didn't buy any yardage for this project and used  a bunch of leftover strips and FQs for the back.
The photo isn't so hot, but the backing looks really nice in person.  It sorta makes it a reversible quilt.
For the binding, I used the collection of ombre solids that came with the set to make it a bit scrappy.
The color gradation works well as a binding and I would definitely use them again.

My 3 unfinished  items from the 1st quarter will all go on my 2nd quarter list.  I think I have a decent chance of finishing them this time.
